About Me...
Julie graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2002 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. With the exception of a being a stay at home mother for her children for a few years, Julie has been teaching school since the fall of 2002. She has taught all grade levels pre-K through fourth grade as well as special education. She serves on the School Board for Aristoi Classical Academy as the Board Secretary.
Her love of helping students reach their full potential led her to begin pursuing a Master’s Degree in School Counseling through Lamar University.
Professional Goals:
- Obtain School Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor certifications
- Create a school counseling program that improves relationships between teachers and students and students and faculty, helps students develop a sense of belonging, fosters a sense of safety, and advocates for students.
- To facilitate change in an accepting environment in order to help others heal, grow, and become who they are meant to be.
